WISHDOIT Review – GT 2.0 Silver/White

I was very excited to review the newest WISHDOIT watch – the GT 2.0. I loved the F-150 I reviewed previously. Despite some flaws, it was clear to me what WISHDOIT was trying to do. They were building something unique, masculine, high-quality, and affordable. So how does the GT 2.0 stack up?

Appearance

Upon opening the case, two things were immediately clear – first, this is a completely different watch, and second, this is basically the same watch. How can this be?

Yes, the GT 2.0 and F-150 are very similar in design, with the same shape and the aesthetic of a skeleton watch. However, the completely different color scheme lends this watch a completely different presence. I love the silver and white appearance. It really jumps out and draws attention, while toning down the watch’s obvious masculine tilt.

I think this color scheme opens the watch up to a new audience. But if it’s not for you, there are certainly plenty of other color schemes to choose from.

Everyday Use

It seems WISHDOIT have taken my feedback to heart. From the first time you strap it to your wrist, this watch is comfortable, primarily due to the lower weight.

I wore this watch constantly for 2 weeks, and despite the size, I rarely noticed it was there (except when I wanted to know the time).

Once again, the band is an extremely soft material, possibly the most comfortable band I’ve ever used. It feels great on your wrist, yet is strong enough to keep the case in place during the day. The watch did slide down my wrist on occasion, but no more than other watches of this size.

Functionality

One of my main criticisms of the F-150 in black, was the hands tended to blend in with the busy face design. With a better choice of hand coloring, checking the time is now much easier. The arrays on the ends of the hands is white, providing plenty of contrast with the grey and silver face. The numerals are also white, and are very easy to read.

The date is a little hidden at the bottom-right. However, after using the watch for a few days, my eyes found it easily when needed.

The stopwatch was easy to use, via the two large buttons on the right side of the case. As with all stopwatches with analog readouts, it’s not the most practical format for precise time measurement. But it looks great, and operates as expected.

Conclusion

Once again, WISHDOIT have made a massive step forward with the GT 2.0. It’s bold, striking, comfortable, and easy to wear as a day-to-day watch. This silver/white combination looks amazing, but if that’s not for you, they have other options available.

They’ve addressed my two biggest concerns with the F-150: weight and ease of reading the time. And they’ve done this without compromising on the watch’s most obvious asset – a truly unique and striking appearance.

And at a very affordable price, I highly recommend the WISHDOIT GT 2.0.

About Ryan F. Miller

For years I’ve been buying and selling watches as a hobby, which led me to the decision of starting Watch for Tomorrow. I write a lot of the content, and I enjoy doing it. The most important aspect for me is the guidance of buying watches as well as avoiding bad ones. There are many bad watches out there, that are just too expensive. Hopefully, I can help you find your dream watch!
